Great video! Speaking of Gurdjieff and music, you may want to look into Robert Fripp and his Guitar Craft. He was a big fan of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky in the 70s, and started his own sort of off-school that combines music, movement (see the League Of Crafty Guitarists), group work and personal development. It’s also strangely Pythagorean, imho.

I highly recommend the study of Gurjieff’s practical techniques for capture of the ego and identification of automatism that plagues humanity. Best starting point is “In Search of the Miraculous” by Ouspensky, who details meetings with G. And group work. A riveting story to boot!

Some of Gurdjieff's practices weren't intended to be passed on, like the dance and "Simon says" methods. Not all "machine" types do the same practices. Also, his teachings isn't to focus on the thoughts, feelings, instincts, and physical movements. It's to be aware of yourself in every moment including your environment at once. In being aware of one's self one will notice the habits and activities of the thoughts/emotions/instincts/bodily movements.

I used to be a member of one of his Fourth Way schools in Manhattan, The Fellowship of Friends. Gurdjieff didn't derive his system from Sufism as some postulate. He traveled around the global collecting teachings. At his death bed, he told Ouspensky he made it all up.

I discovered 4th way in 2018.

I used to study some of his works when i was young. Time for a refresher and maybe indepth understanding. PEACE

This man has always been a big question mark to me, and I'm sure both Ouspensky and Crowley would agree. Anyway, any further presentation about his work, especially his enneagram, would be greatly appreciated.

One documentary I've watched contended that Gurdjieff was in contact with both Hitler and Stalin, and that he was one of the only men Stalin feared. It also said that Gurdjieff knew Hitler would fail because he reversed the direction of the swastika on the German banners. With it being a symbol of the sun and therefore victory, Hitler doomed himself to defeat. I have heard Alan Watts describes Gurdjieff's followers in such a way that he claims the only ones who really understood him gave up his esoteric practices and moved on. The most fascinating thing for me was that he thought our souls were food for the Moon in some way. Did he have esoteric knowledge of a dark spiritual power, or was he just aware of the alien moon nazi soul traps littered throughout the solar system?
